Poor People's Campaign Collection (1968) (10 vintage prints)

Poor People's Campaign Collection (1968) (10 vintage prints)

An excellent collection of prints chronicling the 1968 Poor People's Campaign. The collection highlights the most famous aspects of the march, including the Mule Train headed towards Atlanta, the Mule Train "going power" as it is loaded onto a steam engine bound for Washington DC, before and after views of Resurrection City on the Mall, the protest group in front of the Washington Monument and on steps of House of Congress.

Also includes imagery of the march's leadership team Ralph Abernathy, Jesse Jackson, and Hosea Williams.

Together, these prints form an excellent capture of this seminal moment in Civil Rights History.

Most prints are on 8x10", though some are slightly smaller. Some prints bear corner/edge wear, or editorial markings in the border, but are otherwise in excellent condition.
