R.101 Victims on deck of H.M.S. Tempest (1930) (vintage oversize print)

A moving oversize (10x11.75") print of the R.101 airship victims floral-decked coffins being guarded on HMS Tempest at Boulogne, just before the destroyer sailed for Dover.

The oversize format of this print does well to capture the gravity of this moment of history, and puts on display the care shown for the victims' remains.

Prints is in good condition for its age, though it has minor edge/surface markings.
