Robert Kennedy and Gloria Richardson (1963)
Robert Kennedy and Gloria Richardson (1963)
A vintage press photo of Robert Kennedy at the end of conversations with Gloria Richardson which led to the "Treaty of Cambridge." The treaty came out of racial demonstrations the previous month, and was an effort to demonstrate the local and federal government's commitment to reconciliation and change. Also pictured are Maryland's Attorney General Thomas Finan and Cambridge Mayor Calvin Mowbray.
This print is an excellent historic example of the work Robert Kennedy committed his political career to, as well as a capture of people like Richardson who fought for their communities.
Print is on 8x10" paper and in good condition. Has creasing in upper right corner that barely affects printed area.
